Refund Policy

Because we sell living animals, our refund policy is shaped first by welfare and second by commerce. Please read carefully.

Before dispatch

You may cancel your order at any time before the pet is handed to our transport partner. A full refund will be issued via the original payment method within 7 working days.

In transit

Once a pet is in transit, cancellation incurs the actual transport cost (we will deduct this from your refund). We will hold the pet at our care facility while a new home is arranged.

After delivery — health concerns

If a licensed veterinarian, within 7 days of delivery, certifies a congenital health issue that was not disclosed at the time of sale, we offer one of three remedies at your choice:

• Refund of the pet's purchase price (the pet remains with you), or
• Full reimbursement of treatment costs, capped at the purchase price, or
• Coordinated return to our care facility with a full refund.

What is not covered

• Behavioural traits — temperament cannot be guaranteed.
• Coat colour or markings that develop with age.
• Adult size outside breed standard ranges.
• Issues caused by the new owner's environment or care.

Refund mechanics

Refunds are issued to the original Razorpay payment instrument. UPI refunds typically clear in 24–48 hours; card refunds in 5–7 working days depending on your bank.

Email care@nearby-petstore.in with your order number and the vet certificate (if applicable). We will respond within 24 hours with next steps.
